Piyush Goyal (Union Minister) said the government would form an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) taskforce for the textiles sector to boost its credibility, given India’s commitment to sustainability.
He added that the contours of the Production Linked Incentive scheme for the textile sector would soon be finalized and taken up for approval at a higher level.
