A recent update from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) states that any webinars that are organized by any non-government entity cannot be attended by Tax Officers.
In the circular events like:
- Conferences
- Seminars
- Webinars etc.
Organized by any non-government entities are prohibited for tax officer from attending without the prior notice or permission of the Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, until and unless it is organized by Government agencies/authority. In, the order the CBIC also mentioned that this instruction is for all the officers and has to be followed strictly without any exception.
