UpGrad has made at least 14 acquisitions to date. In 2022, it made around five acquisitions, including upskilling platform Harappa Education for $38 million, and data science institute INSOFE for $33 million. The project is situated off Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
The project is near completion, and the possession is to be completed by June 2023. Upgrade Education will be provide superior education infrastructure for its students to focus on s and career development. The layoffs come amid drying up VC funding in the startup ecosystem, affecting late-stage companies in particular.
Edtech companies, which saw a meteoric rise in 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic-led stay-home norms, appear to have been affected severely.
