The Economic Times reported that India’s mobile manufacturing sector is expected to generate 1.5 lakh new jobs driven by the global shift to manufacturing beyond China and the PLI scheme.
It claimed that firms like Samsung, Foxconn, Nokia, and Tata are expected to contribute to job creation. Out of the total jobs, 30,000-40,000 are likely to be direct jobs, the report added.
