Reports suggest that the Indian Defence Ministry is considering the adoption of the indigenous “Maya OS” to replace the use of Windows operating systems in its operations. This potential transition aligns with India’s push for self-reliance in technology and cybersecurity. Maya OS, developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), aims to enhance national security by reducing dependence on foreign software and bolstering cyber defenses.
